Job summary

Bedford Commons OBGYN is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Intake Coordinator to support new patient onboarding, scheduling, and front-office operations. This full-time role collaborates with the Billing Department to ensure accurate registrations and smooth patient flow.

You will verify demographics and insurance data, assist with pre-registration, and handle incoming calls with a courteous, patient-first approach in a welcoming in-person setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Customer service, patient coordination, scheduling or administrative support experience required.
• Healthcare/medical office experience preferred.
• Experience in training, onboarding, data management, or recordkeeping is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with new patients by phone in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Register and schedule new patient appointments.
• Guide patients through the registration and onboarding process.
• Review, update, and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Assist with pre-registration and data accuracy.
• Audit patient accounts for registration and insurance accuracy.
• Manage incoming calls through a multi-line phone system and call queue.
• Support front office operations as needed.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth patient workflow.
