Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking a Patient and Guest Relations Representative. You will be the primary contact for patients, families, and visitors, providing information, directions, and escort services as needed, while striving to resolve concerns in a busy hospital setting.

This role involves coordinating transport, issuing badges, and supporting guest services across 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

Verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Organization and the ability to handle rapid multi-task situations.
General office experience strongly preferred.
Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards and safety standards.
Welcomes patients and visitors to the hospital and provides information and directions.
May coordinate transportation services and escort patients/visitors/staff as necessary.
Accesses computer terminal for patient information regarding admissions transfers and discharges.
May issue photo identification badges to associates vendors and contractors.
Oversees entrances and may assist with parking and guest services.
