Job summary

Qualifications

• Post high school office procedures preferred
• Minimum one (1) year of clerical and/or receptionist experience; or six (6) months in a medical setting
• Customer service experience
• Degree or relevant Certificate (e.g., Medical Office Assistant, Medical Assistant, Health Unit Coordinator) may be substituted for experience

Responsibilities

• The Medical Receptionist is the first in-person point of contact for a patient on behalf of the medical practice.
• They handle front office duties: greeting patients, answering phones, directing calls, scheduling and registration.
• Responsibilities include charge entry, payment posting, batch balancing, cash reconciliation, and operating basic office equipment.
• Must maintain discretion, a professional manner, and articulate phone voice when interacting with patients and staff.
