MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is seeking a Financial Counselor to evaluate scheduled patient visits and identify funding/coverage options including Medicaid, disability, Financial Assistance, or other resources. The role also involves informing patients about copayments, deductibles, and deposits due prior to receiving MUSC Health services.

Minimum education required is a High School Degree or Equivalent, with 0–6 months of work experience.

• Work Experience: 0-6 months.

Responsibilities

• The Financial Counselor evaluates scheduled patient visits to identify and resolve funding/coverage with Medicaid, disability, Financial Assistance, insurance coverage or other resources.
• Provide patients copayment/deductible/deposit information to be paid prior to services.
