Job summary

Tenet Healthcare seeks a screening specialist to evaluate self-pay patients for government and non-government programs at the hospital bedside. You will identify payor sources, help complete confidential financial statements, and assist patients in applying for benefits.

Role requires strong communication, independent work habits, and bilingual ability (Spanish preferred). Travel and field visits may be involved as part of skip-tracing and document support.

Qualifications

• Proficient in navigating federal/state/county programs and rules.
• P/C systems literate including Windows, Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Screen self-pay patients at bedside for program eligibility.
• Document activities and maintain account records throughout the patient accounting cycle.
• Perform financial clearance and assist with applying for eligible benefits.
• Follow up on government applications to ensure processing and eligibility.
