Job summary

Conifer Health Solutions is seeking staff to screen self-pay patients at hospital bedside for eligibility in governmental and non-governmental programs or insurance exchanges. You will identify all potential payors (auto insurance, workers' comp, commercial, private, TPL) to route accounts in the Patient Accounting environment.

Responsibilities include interviewing patients, performing financial clearance including negotiating and collecting co-pays/deductibles, documenting activities, and

Qualifications

• Interviews with patients and/or family members.
• Performs financial clearance including negotiating and collecting point of service payments or linking to government programs and financial assistance.
• Records and maintains complete documentation of activities on account while in-house.
• Notifies hospital case management, social services and admissions staff of screening outcomes.
• Other duties as assigned.
