The role acts as the point person for copay assistance and eligibility for no-charge medications, coordinating with billing and social work teams to secure patient resources.

The successful candidate will document and track patient assistance information in the EMR, activate copay cards, and help patients navigate charity care programs,

Qualifications

• Assists patients with financial and/or insurance questions.
• Completes applications for no charge medications and orders free replacement drugs.
• Obtains prior authorization as needed for oral medications.
• Documents patient assistance information as appropriate in EMR and scans patient personal financial information in a timely manner.
• Maintains electronic reports on patient assistance information and charity care information.
• Assists social workers in various areas of obtaining patient assistance.

Responsibilities
