Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a full-time Financial Navigator to support patients with medical billing, insurance questions, and access to financial assistance programs. You will serve as the primary contact for patient finances, gather billing information for copay programs, and coordinate with EMR systems to document aid applications and charity care, ensuring timely processing.

Qualifications

• Assists patients with financial and/or insurance questions
• Completes appropriate billing information for copay assistance organizations
• Maintains electronic reports on patient assistance information and charity care information
• Documents patient assistance information as appropriate in EMR and scans patient personal financial information in a timely manner
• Completes applications for no charge medications and orders free replacement drugs
• Obtains prior authorization as needed for oral medications
• Assists social workers in various areas of obtaining patient assistance and completes patient assistance applications
• Obtains and activates copay cards for qualified patients

Responsibilities
