Effingham Health System in Georgia is seeking a Patient Financial Advisor to support non-emergent patients with financial planning, assist with registration, verify insurance, and collect estimated liability at the point of service.

You will educate patients about insurance benefits, coordinate with radiology and OR services, and use hospital software to obtain financial responsibility while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Education level equivalent to completion of High School.
• Must have basic math skills for posting payments and calculations.
• Hometown Health Certifications to be obtained within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for services and explain estimated liability.
• Verify insurance benefits and collect co-pays and other charges.
• Educate patients about insurance coverage and financial options at the point of service.
• Coordinate with radiology and operating room scheduling to communicate patient liability.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate data in the hospital systems.
