Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Billing/Financial Counselor to screen uninsured or underinsured patients before services and assist with eligibility options. Minimum experience includes 2 years in healthcare revenue cycle with knowledge of NJ Charity Care and Medicaid; proficiency in MS

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in healthcare revenue cycle billing and reimbursement.
• Experience with health insurance plans and products; NJ Charity Care and Medicaid preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task using multiple information systems.

Responsibilities

• Financially screen uninsured and underinsured patients prior to inpatient and outpatient services, including office visits, testing, diagnostic studies, surgeries and procedures.
• Navigate and complete financial referrals for all uninsured and underinsured patients.
• Explain NJ State Presumptive Eligibility and CMS Insurance Marketplace options to patients.
• Generate patient liability estimates and provide to patients.
• Collect patient liability payments and/or establish payment arrangements.
• Provides clear and concise documentation in systems.
• Communicates daily with internal customers, providers and patients.
