Job summary

South County Health is seeking a Patient Access professional to support the revenue cycle before discharge and after care has been provided. You will contact patients and responsible parties by phone, mail, and email to collect payments and coordinate financial arrangements.

The role requires knowledge of government and commercial insurer coverage, coding systems, and strong data-entry skills with attention to detail. A minimum of three years of related experience is required.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Excellent organizational and planning abilities; proficiency with data entry and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Assist with revenue cycle components prior to discharge and after care is provided.
• Collect upfront payments such as co-pays, co-insurance and deductibles.
• Respond to patients and responsible parties by phone, mail, and email regarding outstanding balances.
• Assess eligibility for financial assistance and health plan coverage; coordinate benefits and denied claims.
• Utilize patient accounting system and admissions modules; maintain accurate records.
