Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three or more years' experience in related field.
• Extensive knowledge of Commercial Insurance and Medicare/Medicaid required.

Responsibilities

• Audit admission packets and verify benefits in the patient accounting system.
• Provide financial counseling to patients/guarantors and collect out-of-pocket amounts.
• Complete financial disclosure paperwork for patients requesting assistance, including income/expense verification.
• Prepare adjustment forms for charity or admin adjustments for approval.
• Prepare promissory notes for payment arrangements.
• Update daily upfront collection log, charity log, and admin adjustment log; review with leadership weekly.
• Interpret data from systems to determine actions and initiate timely collection steps.
