Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is recruiting a Financial Counselor in Charleston, SC to review patient benefits and collect on inpatient, observation, or bedded outpatient liabilities. The role involves communicating options, applying financial assistance, and meeting daily collection goals in a fast-paced revenue-cycle environment.

Responsibilities include notifications, cashiering support, handling various payor strategies, and escalation as needed to ensure compliance and successful cash collection

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CRCR Certification required within 9 months of hire (company paid).
• 1–3 years of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient insurance and financial information to estimate and collect on patient liabilities.
• Notify recently discharged bedded patients of outstanding balances and document attempts.
• Assist with daily cashiering, cash reconciliation and deposits as assigned by client.
• Coordinate with Case/Utilization Management on regulatory forms and notices.
• Monitor missed collection opportunities and perform follow-up to minimize uncollected amounts.
