Conifer Health Solutions, LLC. in Hardeeville, SC is seeking a Patient Financial Counselor to screen self-pay patients at bedside for eligibility in government and non-government programs. You will identify payors and route accounts within the Patient Accounting environment.

You will assist patients with completing the Confidential Financial Statement and applying for benefits they may be eligible for, coordinating with hospital staff as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Social Services, Hospital Admitting or related area.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English; bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Responsabilités

• Screen self-pay patients at bedside for eligibility in government and non-government programs.
• Identify all potential payors (auto, WC, private, public, etc.) to route accounts in Patient Accounting.
• Obtain and complete Confidential Financial Statement; assist patients in applying for benefits.
• Document activities and maintain thorough records throughout the patient accounting cycle.
• Notify case management, social services and admissions of determinations and outcomes.
