Qualifications

• Minimum three years experience in Access Services related supervisory/management position.
• College graduate with degree in business functions or health care or equivalent experience.
• Requires knowledge of medical terminology, preadmission, authorization, verification, insurance, reimbursement contracts and departmental policies and procedures.
• Requires knowledge of the legal aspect of Access Services, including state and federal regulations regarding patient access.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and train Financial Clearance Center staff and assist the Center Manager.
• Assist with obtaining and validating orders, insurance verification, and prior authorizations.
• Support tactical/operational decisions to sustain customer service and financial results.
• Ensure compliance and improved patient access and reduced denials/delays.
