Baptist Health is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator for BHMG Behavioral Health in Kentucky. The role involves scheduling patient appointments and reminder calls, greeting and registering patients, and checking in or out.

You will verify demographics and insurance, handle payments, and prepare deposits and reconciliations. You will also relay messages to providers, log communications, and provide clerical support such as typing reports, sorting mail, processing faxes and managing supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Computer skills required.
• Medical terminology skills preferred.
• Prior medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make patient appointments and reminder calls.
• Greet, register, and check in/out all patients.
• Verify demographic and insurance information in the system.
• Collect co-pays and other payments, prepare daily deposit and reconciliation report.
• Relay messages to and from providers and log them appropriately.
• Provide clerical/secretarial support: typing, mail, faxes, supplies.
