Cottage Health seeks a Patient Financial Advocate for its Single Billing Office to assist patients and leadership by addressing billing and insurance questions and concerns, including coordination of benefits. The role emphasizes clear communication, patient advocacy, and collaboration with hospital staff to ensure accurate billing and timely issue resolution.

Experience with medical billing, patient registration, and payer interactions is preferred to guide patients through complex coverage

Qualifications

• 2 years of medical billing and/or patient registration experience.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Basic MS Word, Outlook and Excel skills; 35 wpm typing speed.
• Medical Terminology, anatomy and physiology, ICD-10/CPT coding knowledge, EPIC experience preferred.
