Job summary

McPherson Center for Health is seeking a Financial Counselor to help patients manage payments and charity applications. You will work with billing, insurance, and patient inquiries to ensure balances are paid or appropriately arranged.

Responsibilities include creating pricing estimates, reviewing EOBs, and coordinating charity assistance while maintaining excellent customer service in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in business management or financial field preferred.
• Experience with billing, insurance questions, and a customer-service mindset is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain patient balance accounts and assist with billing and insurance questions.
• Assist patients with pricing estimates for services.
• Review explanations of benefits and remittance advice with patients.
• Identify patients needing charity assistance and coordinate the application process.
• Communicate financial issues with providers and management to arrange feasible plans.
