Job summary

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma; or 1 year in healthcare billing/revenue cycle.
• Ability to counsel patients on insurance benefits and billing options.
• Commitment to HIPAA regulations and ethical handling of information.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial counseling to onboarding families, reviewing insurance benefits and estimated charges.
• Handle inquiries via phone, email and scheduling platform; maintain timely responses.
• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable and Verification of Benefits to resolve patient responsibility issues.
• Perform direct billing to grants/funding sources for patient balance coverage in region.
• Escalate sensitive issues to management and support workflow improvements with leadership.
