Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree preferred.
• 2–3 years experience in Patient Access or Patient Accounting for hospital registration and/or hospital reimbursement services.
• Understanding of basic billing and coding.
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one year of hire.

Responsabilités

• Determines liability on patient accounts and secures payment arrangements.
• Counsels patients on cost of treatment and insurance benefits.
• Provides information on financial assistance and payment options.
• Audits bills for accuracy and edits to increase collections and reduce write-offs.
• Collaborates with Revenue Site Operations (RSO) and Patient Financial Services (PFS) to improve collections.
