Job summary

Smile Doctors is seeking a Financial Coordinator to join our growing orthodontic team. You will handle financial, administrative and insurance related activities, contacting patients about past due balances and facilitating payment arrangements.

You will verify eligibility, process claims, reconcile cash balances and manage accounts receivable and payables. If you excel in customer service, organization and problem solving in a fast-paced environment, this is for you.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in billing, collections, or insurance processing.
• Proficient in MS Office; SharePoint and Excel preferred.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients about past due balances via phone, email, and text.
• Collect payments and set up payment arrangements.
• Verify insurance coverage and patient eligibility.
• Process insurance claims and manage them through to payment.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and reconcile cash balances.
• Prepare and document clinic forms and update ledgers.
