Trinity Health's Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia is seeking a Patient Access Rep for part-time, rotating shifts. The role centers on greeting and registering patients, verifying insurance, and determining pre-certification needs, while ensuring accurate data collection and welcoming, patient-focused service.

The position requires outbound coordination with patients, physicians, and hospital staff to resolve revenue-cycle issues and ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalency.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum one year experience in insurance verification and medical office/hospital customer service.
• Must have Outpatient Registration experience.
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet, pre-register and/or register patients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Verify insurance benefits and check for pre-certification/authorization/referral needs.
• Perform medical necessity checks where needed.
• Secure patient signatures for required forms and collect financial responsibility.
• Provide professional, high-quality customer service and timely issue resolution.
• Coordinate revenue cycle related communications with patients, physicians and staff.
• Rotate into various areas of patient access and support different shifts.
