Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in insurance verification and medical office/hospital customer service.
• Outpatient Registration experience required.
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and pre-register or register patients in a courteous, professional manner.
• Verify insurance benefits and check for pre-certification/authorization/referral needs.
• Perform medical necessity checks where needed and obtain required signatures.
• Explain financial responsibilities to patients and collect payments when required.
• Provide high-quality customer service and timely problem resolution.
• Coordinate revenue cycle related information with patients, physicians, and staff.
• Rotate to various patient access areas and accommodate different shifts.
