Position: Patient and Family Concierge, Senior

ANCC Magnet designated UPMC Passavant is currently hiring a Full-Time Patient and Family Concierge, Senior to support our Medical Stepdown Unit at the McCandless location.

The Patient and Family Concierge, Senior is a valued step in the UPMC Patient and Family Concierge career ladder, with opportunities for growth and advancement. Title and salary will be based on education and experience.

Our Full-Time PFCs typically work 40 hours weekly, covering daylight, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts. Hours may vary by unit. Candidates with prior patient care experience are highly preferred and encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Destination Coordinator Responsibilities: Greet hospital guests positively, provide verbal assistance, guidance, and directions to visitors and patients, and serve as a resource for visiting hours, directions, package delivery, and hospital policies.
• Use the personal computer and CRT for disseminating patient information while respecting confidentiality.

• EVS Associate Responsibilities: Clean assigned areas following procedures, remove trash, make beds, inspect and report issues with cleanliness or repairs.

• Transporter Responsibilities: Transport patients and equipment safely and timely, record transportation data, and report activities and issues.

• Supply & Equipment Management: Order supplies, organize stock rooms, monitor inventory and expiration dates, and manage unit-specific needs.

• Administrative Support: Handle administrative functions like answering phones, scheduling, updating records, and managing equipment and reports.

• Patient Care Support: Respond to call lights, conduct rounds, assess patient needs, and support patient mobility and safety protocols.
