Job summary

Prisma Health Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the friendly first touch for patients, manage front-office tasks, verify insurance, schedule visits, and support clinic workflow in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus.
• Experience: 1+ year in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, and multitasking in a busy environment.
• Technical: Proficiency with EMR systems, with EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Warm welcome and front-office support for patients and visitors.
• Manage patient and business documentation with confidentiality.
• Assist with insurance verification and explain payment policies.
• Determine and collect patient financial responsibility while being transparent.
• Support practice manager, providers, and staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance in all processes.
• Perform general administrative duties and operate medical equipment as needed.
• Travel to other Prisma Health Urgent Care locations as required.
