Job summary

Patient First in Manassas, VA is seeking a friendly front-desk associate to support patient check-in, registration, and billing processes. You will verify demographics and insurance information, answer billing questions, and maintain accurate records with a commitment to service.

Responsibilities include assisting with kiosk pre-registration, processing payments, coordinating with clinicians, and providing compassionate customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Basic typing skills.
• Minimum one year of clerical experience preferred.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 7 hours at a time.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Excellent visual, verbal, written, and typed communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Willing to work at any center due to a staffing issue, center emergency, or a reduction of work.

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients using the kiosk prior to registration.
• Escorting patients to the treatment area for registration and evaluation.
• Handling physician and nurse requests promptly.
• Communicating billing policies and insurable/non-insurable charges as needed.
• Registering patients accurately with excellent customer service.
• Verifying patient demographics, health, pharmacy, and insurance information.
• Answering billing questions and providing itemized statements.
• Collecting money and issuing receipts for visits and supplies.
• Discharging patients and processing incurred charges.
• Carrying out cash management duties and end-of-shift reconciliation.
• Distributing correspondence, filing and scanning documents.
• Answering calls and distributing messages.
