You will verify insurance, obtain referrals as needed, and communicate wait times while collaborating with clinicians and technicians to deliver excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of healthcare experience is required.
• Exceptional customer service practices are required.
• Ability to verbally communicate information to staff and patients professionally.
• Experience using a computer and navigating EHR/EMR interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner.
• Register patients timely with demographic and insurance information in NextGen PM system.
• Verify patient insurance and obtain referrals/authorizations before visits; flag coverage issues with manager.
• Ensure charts are signed before entering any charges.
• Schedule follow-ups per physician instructions and seek clarification if needed.
• Inform patients of wait times and provide updates as delays occur.
• Coordinate with technicians to service patient needs.
