Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, PA is hiring a Patient Service Representative. You will greet patients courteously, register for appointments, verify insurance, and coordinate follow-up visits to ensure accurate charges and a high-quality patient experience.

This Per-Diem role emphasizes detail orientation and patient interaction in a fast-paced clinical environment, supporting patients, providers, and clinical teams with administrative workflows.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of health care experience.
• Exceptional customer service practices.
• Ability to verbally communicate information to staff and patients in a professional customer focused manner.
• Experience using a computer and navigating EHR/EMR interfaces.

Mansioni

• Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner.
• Register patients with demographic and insurance information in NextGen PM system.
• Verify insurance and obtain referrals/authorizations; coordinate with manager on coverage issues.
• Ensure charts are signed before charges are entered.
• Schedule follow-ups per physician instructions; seek clarification when needed.
• Update patients about wait times and communicate delays to the patient.
• Coordinate with technicians to service patient needs.
