Job summary

Wills Eye Hospital in Plymouth Meeting, PA is hiring a Patient Service Representative to greet patients, register for appointments, verify insurance, and enter charges accurately. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week and a chance to grow in a fast-paced ophthalmology setting.

You’ll work with patients, providers, and clinical staff to ensure a positive experience, maintain data integrity in NextGen, and handle referrals and authorizations while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience in health care required.
• Exceptional customer service practices required.
• Ability to verbally communicate information to staff and patients professionally.
• Experience using a computer in an office setting and familiarity with navigating EHR/EMR interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients courteously and register them for appointments.
• Enter patient charges accurately in NextGen practice management.
• Verify insurance, obtain referrals/authorizations, and notify if coverage issues arise.
• Coordinate appointments according to physician instructions.
• Communicate wait times to patients and coordinate with clinical staff.
