Job summary

Allevio Care is seeking a Patient Experience Specialist to manage scheduling, patient inquiries, and office organization in a welcoming medical environment. You will check in patients, handle calls, and coordinate visits while supporting physicians and staff.

Responsibilities emphasize accurate data entry, insurance understanding, money handling, and compassionate customer service, all performed under Allevio's policies and values.

Qualifications

• One year or more of medical front office experience.
• Ability to explain medical insurance benefits to patients.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Ability to work quickly with high accuracy.
• Friendly and welcoming demeanor.
• Ability to collect money due from patients.
• Understanding of ICD 10 and CPT coding and modifiers.
• Ability to communicate clearly by telephone, in writing and in person.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and check in patients.
• Answer phones, schedule patient appointments and surgeries, send reminders via calls or emails, and manage mail communications.
• Collect copays and handle money accurately (daily deposits, receipts).
• Enter patients’ demographics and insurance information correctly.
• Print and manage papers, referrals, medical records; mail/fax as needed.
• Check patients out, schedule return visits, and collect payments for services.
• Explain products or services to patients and provide after-care instructions as applicable.
• Collaborate with physicians and office staff to support the team.
