Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative for the Barnabas Health Medical Group in West Orange. You will support front desk operations, check-in/out, scheduling, and basic clerical tasks to ensure a smooth patient experience.

As part of the MG Pediatric ENT West Orange team, you will coordinate with physicians and staff to maintain accurate health records, assist with insurance pre-authorizations, and protect patient privacy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED and relevant experience or training.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and a commitment to patient satisfaction and safety.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in/check-out patients with professionalism and compassion.
• Review schedules and prepare for patient visits; coordinate follow-up appointments as needed.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate with insurance providers; handle pre-authorizations and certifications as necessary.
• Perform clerical tasks including copying, scanning, faxing, sorting and distributing mail.
• Maintain patient health record information accurately and securely.
