RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative for the Shore Cardiac Institute at Barnabas Health Medical Group in New Jersey. This hourly role supports front desk operations, patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, and coordination with physicians and staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required and relevant experience or training.
• Healthcare reception/office experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and handling check-in/check-out with professionalism.
• Prepare for visits by reviewing schedules and necessary information.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-ups.
• Answer routine questions in person and by phone with excellent service.
• Perform clerical duties (copying, scanning, faxing, mail).
• Create, maintain, and organize patient health records.
• Coordinate with insurance providers and handle pre-authorizations as needed.
• Protect patient privacy and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
