Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer-facing experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Understanding of basic medical terminology preferred.
• Call center, patient scheduling and/or physician front-office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages patients throughout the registration process to create a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtains and accurately enters required information for registration into the EHR system.
• Ensures all necessary signatures are obtained and forms completed (e.g., HIPAA Privacy Notice, ABN, AOB).
• Documents insurance verification details in the system, including deductibles, copayments, and policy limits.
• Answers inbound and outbound calls, directing callers efficiently and courteously.
• Schedules various types of appointments and assists with referrals as needed.
• Organizes and follows up on paperwork related to patient care.
