Job summary

Intermountain Health's Hurricane Valley Clinic is seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) to be the first point of contact for patients. The role focuses on delivering outstanding customer/patient experiences, greeting and checking in/out patients, and verifying demographic and insurance information.

The PSR will document interactions in the EMR, schedule appointments, and assist with forms, payments, and financial counseling as needed.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check‑in/out patients and verify information.
• Document all patient interactions in the EMR accurately.
• Schedule appointments for visits, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Register patients by updating demographic data and insurance information.
• Obtain and verify insurance cards and IDs; assist with insurance coordination of benefits.
