Job summary

Neuhaus Foot & Ankle in Smyrna, TN is seeking a Patient Service Coordinator who will be the first voice patients hear, guiding them to the care they need. You will handle calls, schedule across providers and locations, and keep patient information accurate in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Experience handling patient interactions or assisting in a healthcare setting.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment.
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance plans.
• Podiatric or orthopedic practice experience is a plus.
• Customer service orientation with empathy, compassion and professionalism.
• Strong problem-solving skills with timely, effective solutions.
• Enjoys teamwork and active collaboration in a clinic setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong grammar.
• Accurate documentation while typing; attention to detail.
• EMR experience preferred, eClinical Works is a plus.
• Demonstrated stable work history and motivated team member.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally while delivering an exceptional patient experience.
• Schedule appointments accurately across multiple providers and clinic locations.
• Coordinate patient requests with clinical staff to support timely follow-up and resolution.
• Route calls, messages, and requests to the appropriate department or team member.
• Follow provider scheduling templates and appointment guidelines.
• Update and maintain accurate patient information in the EMR.
• Document patient interactions clearly and accurately.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and HIPAA requirements.
