Job summary

Copley Hospital in Morrisville/Stowe, VT, seeks a Patient Engagement Specialist in the Women's Center to ensure smooth flow of patients into outpatient services. You will communicate with staff, patients, and physicians to obtain timely appointments and verify demographic, insurance, and payment information at the point of service.

This full-time role offers cross-training in Cardiology, Urology, General Surgery, and Neurology as training allows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; post-high-school education desirable (e.g., associate degree).
• Two or more years of experience in a medical office as an administrative assistant, scheduler, or similar role.
• Comfortable multitasking with excellent phone etiquette and organizational skills.
• Able to establish patient rapport, put patients at ease, and perform basic computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls courteously and route as needed.
• Register Time of Service patients and collect demographic and financial information with accuracy.
• Schedule appointments and pre-registration for clinic visits; verify scheduling with patients.
• Explain and obtain patient consents; collect and process payments and receipts.
• Enter charges and reconcile patient accounts; work with EMR systems.
