Job summary

Copley Hospital's General Surgery and Neurology Clinic in Morrisville/Morristown VT is hiring a Patient Engagement Specialist to help patients access outpatient services. You will coordinate with staff, patients, and providers to schedule appointments and collect demographic, insurance, and co-payment information at the time of service.

This role offers cross-training to Cardiology, Urology, and The Women's Center as training allows, and is a Full-Time position with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Associate degree in business or secretarial fields desirable.
• Experience in a medical office setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls courteously and schedule outpatient appointments.
• Register patients and collect demographic, insurance, and co-payment information.
• Obtain and verify pre-registration information for scheduled visits.
• Schedule tests and coordinate with testing services and patients.
• Enter charges and manage non-patient encounter paperwork.
