Job summary

Vanderbilt Health Neuroscience Institute is seeking an Associate Patient Service Specialist to support pre-, during-, and post-appointment activities, helping to streamline scheduling, registration, and patient communications within the Neuroscience Outpatient Clinics.

This role, Monday through Friday days, partners with clinical teams to navigate complex patient flows, coordinate with outside facilities when needed, and ensure accurate documentation while delivering compassionate service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in healthcare or patient access is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides service to patients before, during, or after appointments with minimal guidance.
• Schedules appointments, manages registration and work queues.
• Coordinates with patients and outside facilities to ensure orders and consults are ready.
• Communicates with patients via portal and staff to route issues appropriately.
