Job summary

PATHS Inc in Boydton, VA is seeking a Medical Office Receptionist to greet patients, manage check-in/check-out, and keep the front desk running smoothly within a Patient Centered Medical Home model.

You will enter demographics and insurance data into the EMR, handle payments, explain charges, schedule follow-ups, coordinate referrals, and educate patients on the patient portal. Prior experience with eClinicalWorks is preferred; High School diploma required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED

• Medical office experience preferred
• Experience using eClinicalWorks EHR system preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at check-in and check-out
• Maintain efficient appointment and patient flow
• Enter demographics, eligibility, and insurance into the EMR
• Process payments and explain patient charges
• Explain PATHS’ services and patient policies
• Educate patients on portal usage
• Coordinate referrals and neurology referrals
• Prepare daily reconciliation of charges and deposits
• Ensure HIPAA compliance
