Job summary

The Ophthalmology Group in Paducah, KY is seeking a Patient Coordinator to be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a warm greeting and efficient check-in/out experience. This role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care and coordinating front-desk activities.

You will answer phones, manage patient flow, collect payments, and support daily office operations while upholding a patient-centered environment. A high school diploma and customer-service mindset are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year related experience and/or training or equivalent combo of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone).
• Answer phones (external and internal); assure prompt, courteous service at all times.
• Practice urgency with patients’ time and doctor schedule.
• Manage patient flow in the office.
• Knowledge of common fees charged for visits and collect correct payments.
• Complete daily reconciliations / close day / count cash drawer.
• General office duties and cleaning as assigned by manager.
