Job summary

The Ophthalmology Group in Paducah, KY is seeking a Patient Coordinator to be the first point of contact for patients and set the tone for their visit through excellent patient care. The role also handles administrative tasks to ensure smooth check-in and check-out experiences.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, answering calls, managing appointment flow, collecting payments, and supporting the office operations as directed by the manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone).
• Answer phones (external and internal); assure prompt, courteous service.
• Practice urgency with patients’ time and Doctor’s schedule.
• Manage patient flow in the office.
• Collect payments and knowledge of common visit fees.
• Complete daily reconciliations / close day / count cash drawer.
• General office duties and cleaning as assigned by manager.
