Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Minneapolis seeks a Clinic Appointment Coordinator to ensure a smooth check-out experience and seamless scheduling of follow-up appointments. You will work closely with clinical staff to support patient flow and overall clinic efficiency.

The role emphasizes an inclusive, team-focused atmosphere and uses technology to enhance the patient experience, with responsibilities spanning scheduling, check-out, and post-visit follow-up. This is a fulltime on-site position.

Qualifications

• Post HS education or training with basic medical terminology and keyboarding skills.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience working with the public.
• Strong multitasking, attention to detail, and interpersonal/communication skills.
• Flexible with assignments and able to perform a wide variety of duties.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and families as part of the check-out process for an excellent experience.
• Accurately coordinates and schedules future appointments and/or procedures after a visit.
• Uses technology to support the role and improve efficiency.
• Maintains a friendly and welcoming disposition when interacting with patients and families.
• Promotes patient-centered care and proactively meets patient needs during visits.
• Adapts service delivery to the developmental level of the population served.
• Performs other duties and contributes to performance goals as directed.
