Solis Mammography in Lafayette, LA is seeking a Patient Service Representative for a full-time front desk role. You will greet patients, register demographics and insurance in the RIS, collect payments, and help schedule appointments.

The position emphasizes compassionate patient care and accurate data entry to keep the center running smoothly. Two years of healthcare registration or customer service experience is preferred; basic cash handling and MS Office skills are expected; RIS software

Qualifications

• Two years of healthcare registration or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cash handling.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic mathematic calculations and sit/stand for long periods.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite; RIS software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a professional and friendly manner and register patients.
• Input demographic and insurance information into the RIS and verify accuracy.
• Explain forms to patients and assist with form completion.
• Process paperwork and maintain confidentiality.
• Collect patient payments and explain benefits as needed.
• Verify insurance when necessary and schedule future appointments.
• Generate daily invoice journal and reconcile payments.
