Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Liaison – Mobile Rehab to enhance the patient experience and optimize clinic resources in a full-time daytime role in Chicago. The position emphasizes servicing patients, coordinating schedules, and supporting care teams within a hospital system.

Ideal candidates will have at least a high school diploma, 2 years of healthcare experience, and a background in customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2 years previous healthcare experience.
• Experience in a customer service role.
• Preferred: EMR system experience.
• Preferred: knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the service experience for all patients and advocate on their behalf.
• Manage schedules to optimize resources including providers, rooms, and equipment.
• Coordinate scheduling of appointments and care alternatives for changes.
• Assist with data collection and analysis related to physician productivity and resource utilization.
• Address billing errors and denials and obtain necessary pre-certifications or referrals.
• Provide patient education information and materials as needed.
