Harbor Health in El Paso, TX is seeking skilled Patient Reception Specialists to join our growing clinics. As the face of our practice, you will welcome patients, collect and verify information, and prepare them for appointments with clear, friendly communication.

You will work closely with the care team to validate insurance details, schedule visits, process co-pays, and maintain a clean, organized reception area. A High School Diploma and knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and insurance practices.
• Proficient in Google Suite and EMR systems.
• Competency in basic arithmetic for transactions.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Excellent customer service with proactive attitude.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Team player with ability to work independently.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional, welcoming manner.
• Prepare patients for appointments and inform them of required information.
• Provide clear communication about services scheduled.
• Communicate delays and assist with patient comfort as needed.
• Keep reception and waiting areas clean and organized.
• Obtain insurance cards, licenses, authorizations, and referrals; save in EMR.
• Perform demographic and insurance validation; explain privacy policies.
• Schedule appointments and follow-ups per policies.
• Collect co-pays and balances; submit batches daily.
• Other duties as assigned.
