Job summary

Harbor Health, an Austin-based multi-specialty clinic group, seeks Patient Reception Specialists to welcome members and coordinate smooth visits. You will prepare patients, provide service information, and support the care team to deliver a member-centered experience in a payvider model.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, knowledge of medical terminology and insurance practices, and proficiency with Google Suite and EMR systems. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and insurance practices.
• Proficient with Google Suite and EMR systems.
• Able to perform arithmetic for payments and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Excellent customer service with professional communication.
• Effective teamwork and ability to work independently while respecting privacy.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Prepare patients for appointments and inform them of necessary information.
• Explain services and manage schedules and delays to ensure a smooth visit.
• Maintain a tidy reception area and support administrative tasks.
• Collect co-payments and reconcile balances; validate demographics and insurance.
• Schedule appointments and handle follow-ups per policy; handle other duties as assigned.
