Responsibilities

• Greet callers and in-office patients warmly and provide courteous service.
• Serve as the first point of contact for patients at the practice.
• Use sound judgement handling calls and in-person interactions with sensitive medical information.
• Answer calls within three-four rings.
• Update demographics and insurance information when scheduling or checking in patients.
• Confirm, cancel, reschedule, and update patient appointments as requested.
• Use the EMR system to match clinician availability with patient needs.
• Schedule appointments accurately based on clinic guidelines.
• Maintain and update scheduling systems for accurate patient records.
• Communicate with providers and staff about patient concerns; consult with the office manager on system issues.
• Process requests from other medical offices (faxing records, etc.).
• Address patient concerns promptly and effectively.
• Provide courteous customer service to patients.
• Perform other clerical duties as assigned by the office manager/administrator.
• Some travel required between multiple locations.
