Methodist Health System is seeking a Patient Representative to greet, instruct, and schedule patients, register them in the computer system, and determine insurance benefits in a fast-paced clinic. You will serve as a liaison between patients and clinical staff, maintain confidentiality, handle check-ins, updates to demographic data, and assist with billing and communications.

This on-site role requires strong communication and office tech skills.

Formación

• Knowledge of front office procedures and medical terminology.
• Excellent grammar and spelling skills.
• Knowledge in operation of medical office technology systems.
• Skill in greeting patients and answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instruction.

Responsabilidades

• Greets, instructs, and schedules patients.
• Registers patients into the computer system and verifies insurance information.
• Handles check-ins, collects payments, and enters charges.
• Attends to patient demographics and contact information updates.
• Answers telephone, screens calls, and conveys information to appropriate parties.
• Maintains neat reception area and supports clinic efficiency.
• Assists Practice Manager with problems and staff coordination.
• Participates in staff meetings and training.
• Ensures daily balance of charges and receipts per Office Manager instructions.
