Job summary

Advocate Health Fort Mill Family Medicine is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to deliver exemplary front-office service and support a welcoming patient experience. You will handle patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and billing-related tasks in a fast-paced environment from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, as part of a 40-hour work week.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and prior customer relations experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Computer experience required.
• Customer relations experience required.
• Experience with Medical Records Software preferred, Front desk practice experience preferred.

• Provide exemplary interpersonal skills and ability to interact with patients and families in sensitive situations.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and decisive judgment in a fast-paced environment; works with team or independently.
• Manages patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, collection and cash receipting, arrival/departure desk activities with accuracy.
• Encourages patient utilization of front-end technology during the registration process.
• Enters and maintains confidential patient information including insurance, billing, and payment information; assists billing as needed.
