Job summary

Gold Coast Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time float medical receptionist to support our southern locations in Palm Beach County, including Boynton Beach, Delray, and Boca Raton. You will greet patients, collect copays, and manage appointments while maintaining accurate EMR records.

Candidates pursuing education in physical therapy, medical assisting or health administration are encouraged to apply. A Level 2 background screening is required by Florida HB 531 prior to employment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical reception or front-desk role.
• Familiarity with patient check-in and insurance information.
• Willingness to work in a healthcare setting in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner
• Collect patient responsibility payments (copays, coinsurance, deductibles) at time of service
• Accurately enter and update patient demographic and insurance information in EMR system
• Schedule, confirm and manage patient appointments
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding patient scheduling and needs
• Work closely with insurance and billing departments at HQ to address patient account needs and resolve issues
